When the most distinguished automakers are discussed, Bentleys are generally one of the first manufacturers cited and touted. Rotary-engine wiz Walter Owen Bentley founded Bentley Motors in 1919. It is easy to see how Rolls Royce and Bentley were once one organization. The company, which has been a subsidiary of Volkswagen since 1998, is flourishing. It is as popular among today’s royalty as it was in its fledgling heydays.
The A-B-Cs refer to the Arnage line, the Azure, the Brooklands, and the Continental group. Here is look at the 2008 offerings of Bentley Motors.

The Bentley Mulliner factory logs in overtime when the sporty Arnage T, the elegant Arnage R, and the touring limousine Arnage RT are on the work calendar. This is where a Bentley goes to be modified to fulfill subtle to radical requests by customers. These classic sedans contain special privacy and security unique to Bentleys. The workers of Bentley Mulliner can attest to that!

The Bentley Azure is the convertible of the premium auto line. However, it is both a performer and a looker with a 6.75-liter V8 engine that has a top speed of 171 mph. There are no modern-day Bentleys without interiors consisting of rich veneers and leather hides. It is an unparalleled extraordinary blending of craftsmanship and beauty that makes commenting on it anyway irresistible!

The Bentley Brooklands are both elegant and sporty. The low roofline gives the Brooklands a dark side. It is impressive that a vehicle this beautiful hits 60 mph five seconds out from zero. The V-8 engine, which is an in-house job from the famous Crewe factory, tops out at 184 mph. The trim and interior options are a nice touch, too, as privileged buyers select from 27 hides and four veneers. Only 550 Brooklands will be produced and made available during the first quarter 2008. It’s an instant classic!

Imagine driving a Bentley that tops 200 mph and you are behind the wheel of a Continental GT! This is the crme de la crme of coupes for Bentley lovers. It is atop or near it of most lists. The GT is the first Bentley to achieve such an exhilarating speed. This one is as smooth as it gets!

It is convertible that retracts in 25 seconds and performs just like the GT. What else is there to say? Both Bentley models possess an unconventional 12-cylinder engine that is configured in four banks of three cylinders in a W formation. The compact engine configuration allows for more storage space.

The Flying Spur is a sedan that thinks it is a GT. With a six-speed automatic transmission, a top speed of 195 mph, and zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds, it is understandable why the F-Spur thinks it is so spry- because it is. The interior technology, including the DVD satellite navigation system, is sophisticated, functional and stylistic.

The rise of the fall may be the arrival of the 2008 fleet of Cadillacs. With six distinctive models available, chances are there is at least one that will find its way to the top of many shoppers’ wish list this year. And that’s why we’as America’s foremost online luxury-lifestyle magazine-deemed it our duty to provide this special luxury-service announcement to our esteemed readers. The venerable automaker offers drivers a premium package of looks, performance, and service like no other.

The 2008 Cadillac XLR Roadster has lovers of refined luxury and demonstrable high performance cooing and wooing over this awesome automobile’s features. This vehicle’s appeal inside and out is curb-superb. There is a 4.6-liter Northstar V8 with 320 horsepower. The “Rad Cad” sets on 18-inch aluminum wheels and has a power retractable roof, adaptive cruise control, and so much more. Its base price is $79,600.

STS. This is Cadillac’s six-pack as there are six separate 2008 STS packages. There are three V8 and three V6 variants. Five of the six include the word “luxury” in its name. However, it is doubtful that the STS V6 package, with a base price of $43,135, does not have a bevy of deluxe features too. The V6 Luxury Performance and the V8 Premium Luxury Performance packages begin at $48,890 and $60,745, respectively.

DTS. Three of the five DTS packages contain the term “luxury” similarly to the STS batch. All DTS variants feature 4.6-liter Northstar V8 engines. The Performance option has higher horsepower and a six-speed automatic sequential hydraulic shift package, which Cadillac calls a Hydra-matic automatic transmission. Shift if you dare or cruise debonair. Base prices range from $42,590 to $50,150.

CTS. The 2008 CTS offers a direct injection 3.6-liter V6 and all-wheel drive steering to enhance maneuverability and stability. A Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround sound system keeps the music in tune, while a double sunroof, while a double sunroof expands horizons. The CTS’ base price is $32,990.

SRX. Crossovers are either super-size station wagons or undersize SUVs. Take your pick. While crossovers are commonplace sights on America’s roads, it was a bold step for the pedigreed manufacturer to enter the fold with its compelling line. The SRX models come with V6 or V8 engines. The V6 is a five-speed Hydra-matic automatic transmission, while the V8 is a six-speed. Both are available with all-wheel drive. Bases prices are $37,695 and $44,690.

The Escalade may be the most popular transporter of the “uber-bling” crowd. However, there are a lot of soccer mommies and daddies who may beg to differ. The spacious SUVs are presented in three ways, the Escalade, the Escalade ESV, and the Escalade EXT. All models are offered in AWD and offer a dizzying array of standard features and optional packages. The Escalade’s base price is $55,640; the ESV’s is $60,160; and the EXT starts at $55,155.

The Beatles world renowned hit Come Together was at the top of the music charts along with Johnny Cashs A Boy Named Sue, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, and the 1969 Chevy Chevelle SS, now a classic muscle car, was born. The Chevy Chevelle SS met the demands of muscle car enthusiasts for small cars with powerful motors. Its sporty fast-back body style which was first concocted in the redesign of the 1968 models gave it a touch of class as did the new design of the tail lights. Chevelles are mid-sized cars meeting the median between small sports cars and large family cars.

The 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle line was the first to have the SS 396 option available but it wasnt perfect as it resulted the 396 became known for poor handling as it required stiffer springs and shocks than earlier models. Later in the year, the 396 option was replaced with a 402 cubic engine, supposedly due to emission standards. Even in light of the minor imperfections in its initial release, the Chevy Chevelle SS was an incredibly popular muscle car in its time and became one of the very best sellers of all times.

Limited edition Chevelles were a favorite amongst drag racers due to the powerful engine options, 427s, that could be special ordered. Limited edition Chevelles are few and far between in this day and age, but if you find one, they are worth a pretty penny. Classic car enthusiasts and speed demons alike admire these beauties.

Chevelles were first released in 1963 with a standard 327 cubic-inch V8, 300 horsepower engine. However, at that time the Pontiac GTO has a 389 that was unmatched. Chevrolet responded to the competition over the years by gradually increasing the power of their motors.
Chevy continued to produce Chevelles until 1973.

If you go to car shows where muscle cars are featured, you are sure to see 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS models because collectors absolutely love them. They are fast, high-performing cars as well as being practical size-wise which makes them pretty unique. Take Off Your Bumper Stickers

Written by lowpricedcars. No comments Posted in: Cheap Low Priced Cars

You may have put in that bumper sticker on your vehicle for various reasons. You may have simply liked the message that the sticker told the world. Another reason could be that you just would not like to hurt your sons feelings when he presented you with that I Love My Dad bumper sticker on Fathers Day. Or simply because you just were part of that organization whose campaign was to Save The Whales.

No matter what the reason for putting that bumper sticker on your car, it seems like after such a period of time, the message you have stuck on your car seems to have faded already maybe both literally and figuratively. You may not be supporting such a campaign at present anymore. Or maybe, people may not be able to decipher just what your bumper sticker said. Or what it actually tried to say in the first place. It has simply worn off that it just looks like a big piece of paper plastered on your car and you just want to take that off.

You can take off that faded bumper sticker by scraping it off the glass. To do this, you may use a razor blade. But make sure that you use a razor blade only if the bumper sticker has been placed on a window. However, if the sticker has been placed on a bumper, you can try to peel it off first with your fingers. Remember, there are rubber bumper stickers and this kind is easy to peel.

However, if you try to peel them off and it does not come off, you can use water. Have a basin filled with boiling hot water. You should protect your hands with some rubber gloves while you do this. Also have a dip rag or a sponge which you would be wetting on the water. Then, press this against the bumper sticker for around ten minutes or so. After that, you can use a plastic spatula or putty knife to peel away the sticker. Make sure that you do this slowly to avoid scratching or chipping your cars paint job.

Should I Buy Used Car Audio?

Written by lowpricedcars. No comments Posted in: Cheap Low Priced Cars

Thanks to modern electronics, we now have, more than ever, multiple options for buying an audio system for our car. We only need to go to an electronics store like Best Buy or Circuit City and find tons of options. Or check the web. There are so many brands to choose from that it may drive you nuts.

So, today it isnt about what should you buy, but how much money do you have to invest in my car audio. Its a complex balance between what do you want and what can you really afford, especially if you are an enthusiast of these babies.

Lets say that you have five hundred dollars. That lets you buy a decent receiver, an amplifier and a nice set of 4-way speakers. But reality says that you want more. Ok, you may buy this basic kit and save some more money until you have enough dollars to go for a subwoofer or a couple of tweeters with a dedicated amp. The thing is that you may not want to wait one or two years for it.

In that case, you should consider buying an used car audio system. For some men it may be considered as a sacrilege. After all, an audio system is considered by many of us as a physical manifestation of ourselves. It is the mean to make the world know what kind of music we hear.

But relax. You dont need to be such an extremist with used car audio. First things first. Look for some prices. One of the first places to look on is Ebay. You may find a good price on a complete used car audio kit. Another option is retail stores. Some years ago I found a complete kit: receiver, speakers and amplifiers for 60% of the price. Why? Because the guy who bought it didnt like how it sounded and spent more money on a more sophisticated system. But for me it was more than enough. This guys bad choice was my bliss.

You can also check the classified ads in the newspaper. You will find lots of local sellers looking for buyers for their used car audio. Electronics advances very quickly and consumers are so eager to use new technologies, that you will not find a shortage of them.

Finally, try your friends. Maybe they were already considering selling their system but needed a final push to do it. Ask those that have a good sounding system and check how much the same equipment would cost at a store.

At the end, it doesnt matter which source of used car audio you use, the thing is that you find yourself comfortable with the deal you have made. Not only on the bucks you have saved, but also feeling that your second hand system does sound good after all.

Many model year 2007 vehicles have already hit new car showrooms starting with several new SUVs built by General Motors. The upcoming model year is shaping up as one likely to be filled with many changes as automakers reshape their line ups and prepare for the coming invasion of cheap imports from China. The choices for consumers have never been better and prices are actually lower for many models, therefore competition is good and you are the winner. Lets take a look at five vehicles certain to grab much attention as they are released during this year.

Ford Explorer Sport Trac Based on the Explorer body, the Sport Trac has a wheelbase that is nearly 17 inches longer than the Explorer and a bed made out of composite material. With four doors and a truck bed, the SUV/pick up truck hybrid does double duty with plenty of style. Powered by a 4.0L V6, the 4.6L V8 found in the Expedition is also available. You can get the Sport Trac in either 2 of 4 wheel drive.

Mazda CX-7 Mazda jumps in to the crossover craze with its attractive looking CX-7. As a five door hatch/SUV hybrid the five passenger CX-7 will be powered by a turbo charged 2.3L I4 engine producing a remarkable 244 h.p. Available in front or all wheel drive, the CX-7 combines the athletic look of a sports car with the look of a curvy SUV. Ford and Lincoln will also get versions of the vehicle.

Suzuki SX-4 One of the lesser known Japanese brands, Suzuki is attempting to get a bigger piece of the pie by introducing new and revised versions of its models to the North American market. The SX-4, a compact crossover vehicle, is Suzukis latest attempt to reach their goals. Available as either a front wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicle, the five door SX-4 is powered by a 2.0L I4 and is aimed squarely at Subaru lovers. It is the opinion of this writer that Suzuki must work on styling first before success can be expected; mostly everything the automaker produces is quite bland.

Chevrolet Suburban As part of the generals overhaul of its midsize and large SUVS and trucks, the brawny Suburban debuts with many changes in place. All new sheet metal, displacement on demand engineering, and a remote power rear lift gate, are some of the chief changes with this big SUV. Naturally, in the face of $2 or $3 per gallon gasoline the Suburban presents a thirsty offering for owners. However, if it is a big SUV you need, then the all new Suburban may fill the bill for you.

Hyundai Entourage Sharing a platform with the Kia Sedona, the Entourage is Hyundais first minivan. Unlike the Sedona, only the long wheelbase version will be available. Powered by a 3.8L V6, the engine is mated to a five speed automatic transmission. An important feature with the Entourage is the third row seat which folds flat into the floor.

Yes, the 2007 model year is already here for some models. Prices are very competitive and the latest technology has been included with many vehicles. Shop and save today on a model that is certain to please you!
